Postpartum
Postpartum personal trainer in Nashville
Your body did something extraordinary. Getting strong again isn't about "bouncing back." It's about rebuilding, properly and progressively, with someone who understands the difference. I came back to full strength after my own maternity leave, and I coach the comeback the same way I lived it: patiently, safely, and without a single ounce of guilt.
The return-to-strength path
Foundation before intensity
Breathing and core reconnection from the first session. We rebuild the deep foundation before we load anything on top of it.
Progress that respects recovery
Broken sleep, feeding schedules, and healing timelines are training variables here, not excuses to apologize for.
Strength for mom life
Car seats, cribs, toddlers who want 'up'. We train the exact movements your days demand.
Provider-cleared, always
We start when your doctor or midwife says you're ready, and work within any guidance they give. Your health comes first, full stop.
Once your foundation is back, training continues like any other client's. See all the ways to train together, or read what other moms say.
How it works
Four steps, and the first one is just a chat.
- Step 1
A twenty-minute chat
We talk about your week, your history, and what you actually want to be able to do. No sales script. If I'm not the right fit I'll say so.
- Step 2
An assessment, if we're a fit
We book an assessment: how you move today, what your body's ready for, and what we're aiming at. Your plan starts from here, not from a template.
- Step 3
Pick the commitment that fits
3, 6, or 12 months: the longer the commitment, the lower each hour costs. We settle it together after the assessment, no pressure.
- Step 4
We train, every single week
In person in Nashville or live over Zoom, coached on every rep. Bad sleep week? We adjust: drop volume, keep the weight. Progress doesn't need perfect weeks.
In their own words
Coming in I was a bit scared because I just finished my PT sessions for slight uterus prolapses and I knew there were many weak links in my body. I was looking for someone who understood it and can work to improve it. She is THE ONE!! Hands down she is the best trainer I had! She is professional in carrying out the session through zoom. The progression of the program she designs is natural but not without challenges. Her tips and feedbacks are so beneficial for me to understand mind-to-muscle connection. And she is super personal and friendly, just a absolute darling to work with. Workout can be a breeze with her!!!!!
I started seeing Rachel to help me get my back pain under control from an old injury and to prepare my body for pregnancy. I’ve been working with her for a couple of years now. I quickly noticed less pain in my back and not having to go to the chiropractor as often. I also continued seeing her while I was pregnant. I did not experience any back pain throughout my pregnancy and I credit that to all the work we did to prepare my body for it.
Rachel is wonderful! Her professional and friendly disposition make me feel comfortable and confident asking questions & really understand what/why we’re doing. I’ve worked with her for over a year and have seen great results in my body and working toward my overall goals. I feel like she has always kept my personal goals in mind when developing plans and it’s a truly tailored experience. I’ve also learned how to apply what we do in our sessions in my own workouts. I didn’t even know how to “go to the gym” when we started working together and now I feel comfortable and confident each and every session thanks to all of her expertise! Thanks, Rachel!!!
Questions I get about this
How soon after giving birth can I start?
When your doctor or midwife clears you for exercise. Your provider sets the timing, not me. From there we begin with breathing and core reconnection before anything is loaded.
I've been seeing a pelvic floor physical therapist. Can we work together?
Yes. Tell me what your PT or provider has told you and the program works inside that guidance. We rebuild the deep foundation first and progress only as your body is ready.
What if the baby wakes up during a session?
On a virtual session we pause, and you come back when you can. Sessions are scheduled in the windows your day actually has, and a disrupted week is planned for, not treated as failure.
Is this in person or online?
Both. Train at the studio in Nashville or live over Zoom from home, whichever makes getting the session in easiest right now.
What does it cost?
It depends on how long we work together. There are 3, 6, and 12-month options, and the longer the commitment, the lower each hour costs. We'll go through exact rates on your free call. The call itself costs nothing, and there's no hard sell.
Start with a conversation, not a commitment.
You take care of everyone. This call is twenty minutes just for you. No pressure, no sales script. If I'm not the right coach for you, I'll tell you who is.
